LONDON – AxiCom, WPP’s specialist technology PR agency, has launched an influencer marketing practice to create influencer-led campaigns for B2B and consumer technology clients.
Influencer marketing practice connects brands with influencers who can bring complex technologies to life and show their everyday benefits. The agency has already carried out influencer campaigns for all customers in the consumer technology sector and is now also offering the offer to its B2B customers.
The new practice will be led by the director of influencer marketing and consumer technology, Maria Arbalova (picture), who joined AxiCom as a trainee almost 10 years ago.
She said: “My top priority is to continuously develop our offering and the skills of my team. As an agency, we pride ourselves on our agility to recognize changes at an early stage and to adapt to both the broader industry and the increasing demands of our customers. That was a successful attitude during the pandemic and allowed us to continue to grow. “
Sales of consumer technology from AxiCom increased by 30% compared to the previous year. Recent achievements for the consumer technology practice partnering with any consumer product or service with a technology story include an on-demand service that delivers premium beauty, fine wine and organic foods within 30 minutes of ordering.
UK CEO Rosie Bannister said: “The team is great at doing what’s right for their customers while also creating new brands. The 30% sales growth for the Consumer Tech team is proof of their success. Combined with the 300% annual growth in new business profits across the agency in the first quarter, we hope that momentum will continue into 2021. “
