As the industry hub for these communities, we produce subscriber streaming content, industry conferences, and publish three websites that post daily news and a print magazine.
While we’ve been in business for over 20 years, BevNET is still a young company that works hard and enjoys it. Our offices (when we go there) are casual and relaxed with the latest in groceries, beverages, beer and spirits pouring in daily. Our team has grown together closely and is geared towards growth. The company is privately owned, growing and profitable with no outside investors. We are a small but nimble team, so experience in a startup environment or participating in teams in the early stages is an advantage.
We consistently produce innovation-driven and educational content through series such as office hours, elevator talks, frontlines and market shares that give the food, beverage and beer community the inspiration and knowledge they need to unlock their next business milestones and maybe even a little Industry to gain exposure along the way.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a full-time content marketer to join our growing team. It’s an exciting time to join as we recently launched new education, partnership and matchmaking products for entrepreneurs and decision makers in the food and beverage industry.
The goal of this position is to write content that demonstrates industry leadership and explains the value of our industries to potential members. The successful candidate will devour our content and gain an understanding of what we are doing. You will be one of our biggest users. Use channels like email, e-books, videos, podcasts, and digital ad units to write compelling content that demonstrates thinking and value to our audience.
The location is in our San Diego office, which is accessible by public transportation. Free parking spaces are also available.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Creating and executing a content strategy (with a detailed calendar) of engaging and relevant content for our customers and prospects

Write and manage content for e-books, podcasts, videos, subject lines, email campaigns, ad campaigns, and social media

Campaign for the brand voice across the company to drive brand consistency and development

Work with design and marketing channel owners to develop an impactful subject

Continuously learn from sales, service, product and development teams and partners to improve the quality and consistency of written and oral communication
CONDITIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree with more than 2 years of professional experience in the field of journalism, advertising or marketing

Mastery of the intricacies of the English language and ability to do your commandments

A creative eye that looks at the overall picture and cleverly picks out the interesting parts and converts them into content

Convenient writing of action texts (e.g. subject lines, Facebook ads, etc.) as well as more complex storytelling (emails, e-books)

Passionate about the food and beverage industry and creating opportunities for entrepreneurs

Ability to understand your audience – their problems, needs and weaknesses

Attention to detail, multitasking ability and excellent organizational skills

Experience with email marketing, direct mail and / or direct response marketing campaigns

Fluent on social media
QUALIFICATIONS

2-4 years of experience in marketing or creative writing with 1-3 years of experience in product marketing in the food, beverage, media, events or technology sectors.

Strong ability to create eye-catching, eloquent slideware that visually tells a story.

Strong B2B marketing experience

Attention to detail, excellent communicator.

Experience working with the Google G-Suite platform: Gmail, documents, sheets, presentations.
