Brooke will be based in Boston, Massachusetts and reporting directly to Captario CEO Johannes Vanngard. Johannes said, “We worked with major pharmaceutical companies to develop a leading technology solution that enables companies to make more proactive, faster and more insightful decisions. Appointing a marketing director is an important step in raising general market awareness of this important strategic tool. “
With a background in full-funnel marketing and start-up environments, Brooke will be responsible for setting the global marketing strategy, coordinating day-to-day marketing operations and building brand awareness for Captario and its flagship product, Captario SUM®. while building the internal marketing teams and functions.
Captario SUM® has had significant successes in the pharmaceutical industry from the very beginning as a key factor in successful drug development is informed decision-making. This includes how individual drug projects can be optimized and prioritized in a portfolio. However, an even bigger challenge is to do this in a timely and efficient manner. Last year, this problem was exacerbated by the unexpected global Covid-19 pandemic. With real-time modeling, simulation and analysis functions, Captario SUM® grew rapidly in several of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies and proved its effectiveness even for the most complex business scenarios.

Erik Post, CFO and US President of Captario explains: “The last year has accelerated the need and importance of the Captario solution and made it at the right time to invest more in marketing. Brooke’s role will help Captario effectively nurture relationships with prospects and customers, and better communicate the value we deliver – not just to our pharmaceutical partners, but to other industries facing strategic decisions. “
Prior to joining Captario, Brooke held various sales, marketing and business development roles for B2B and B2C brands. Brooke is also a founding member of Chief – Boston, an organization specifically designed for senior female leaders to empower their leadership journey, survey cross-industry ideas, and create top-down change.
“I am humble at the opportunity to join the Captario team,” said Brooke. “This talented group of individuals has developed a world class solution that ultimately helps our customers get their jobs done. Today this means that we are accelerating the development and use of drugs – or as one of my new colleagues said: “We are helping to save lives”. It’s just inspiring to be part of this finding and all of the other outcomes that we support in the future. I am also honored to be a woman stepping into the world of AI and machine learning. Captario is clearly committed to promoting diversity in this industry and I am happy to be in such an environment. “
