Dynasty, Envestnet Initiative Creates Social Media Advertising Coaching For Advisors

Posted on March 10, 2021 by Alice

ASx today announced an online program designed to train financial advisors on their own basic social media marketing.

ASx, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, also known as the Advisor Services Exchange, is a partnership between Dynasty Financial Partners and Envestnet that provides advanced tools for advisors. The new online program “Unlocking the Essentials of Social Media” is a virtual coaching platform with digital courses, interactive workbooks and technologies that consultants can use to market their companies and their services via social media.

“This is fully engineered training that is exactly what we are already doing to provide services to RIAs,” said Ed Swenson, president of ASx. “We have put together a fully integrated offer. If you want to start at the simplest level, you don’t need any live interaction with our team at all. ”

Video-based courses are offered by ASx digital marketing experts Justin Barish and Marisa Norris.

“The problem with social media marketing was that you had few opportunities to get involved,” said Barish. “You could hire a CMO and / or build it yourself. That’s a decent approach, but you risk a lot of people who don’t know what they’re doing. If you hire someone, they could be someone who is knowledgeable about a field of marketing but doesn’t have the knowledge or skills of a full team. “

The other path for consultants was to hire a third party provider such as a marketing agency, which could be prohibitively expensive for many companies and yet does not guarantee results. According to Barish, agencies are typically not targeted or specific, which means they are trying to revamp a company’s entire marketing proposition. This increases the cost of using it to improve a consultant’s reach.

The ASx program is designed to strike a balance between the two different avenues for advisor marketing. Consultants can either act independently or hire the ASx team as marketing consultants. The training is offered on three levels. The first level includes the classes and workbooks that help practitioners of all sizes develop their own social media marketing experience.

“We train counselors in the basics, like a college course, 101, 201, 301,” said Barish. “If we train you in marketing activities 101 and 201, all you have to do is save a lot of money without paying anyone else, and then you may be able to hire someone to do activities 301 and 401. ”

The second tier includes comprehensive, advanced social media analytics that allow advisors to track their progress with more robust marketing campaigns.

The third stage includes advice from the ASx team to create bespoke social media marketing offers for consultants.
