Primeful Digital in Chattanooga is a search engine optimization and marketing agency founded by GHC graduate Justin Deal. After graduating from the GHC with a degree in political science, Deal studied at Columbia University in New York.
“GHC gave me maximum options in a comfortable environment,” said Deal. “… and I always felt inspired to do more than I got on campus.”

Deal was enrolled at the GHC from 2012 to 2014, graduating with an associate degree in political science. As a student, Deal was involved in numerous registered student organizations such as Equality Alliance, Student Government Association, Political Science Club, Phi Theta Kappa (Alpha Psi Omicron Chapter), Leadership Development Program, and he also served as an orientation leader.
While Deal was completing his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York, he said GHC provided him with the tools he needed to begin his academic and professional journey. Additionally, Deal said he had several fond memories of his time on campus and working with registered student organizations.
Starting Primeful Digital with business partner Shawn Tucker wasn’t an easy task, but the duo were able to get things up and running in a short amount of time.
“It took about three to six months from the first idea to running a business,” said Deal. “A lot of people are wondering how we did this so quickly and that’s because we had very low startup fees and low overhead fees as our business is 99% digital.”
Deal said he was pleased with how his business had improved the lives of himself and others.
“I wanted to get out of the 9-to-5 routine and make more room in my life for travel and adventure,” said Deal. “I don’t want to wait until retirement to explore the world. I also wanted to promote a more open corporate culture that puts people first and give people the opportunity to take advantage of our burgeoning gig economy. Fortunately, I’ve had the opportunity to freelance a copywriter in New York City, and the rest is history. “
